What materials are UVA Racks made from?
Currently, all UVA racks are precision cut from sheets of architectural-grade aluminum. Despite the reputation it holds among some, quality aluminum is the easy winner when it comes to strength-to-weight ratio in building applications that don't require extreme structural resilience. Racks are laser-cut, deburred, formed on a press brake, welded (when necessary), and powder-coated. All racks are made in the USA.
For custom installations requiring more structural integrity, designs may be sourced from steel.
In the future, UVA plans to expand to acrylic and composite racking, as well.
What finish options are available?
Currently, UVA offers highly-durable powder coating as a standard service in various colors. Custom powder coat colors, anodizing, painting, and plating are available upon custom request.
What shipping options are available?
UVA Racks currently ship only to the contiguous United States.
How long until I receive my order?
In-stock items ship same business week. We are a small, local company - we can't keep up with Amazon-style same-day. Sorry!
